AN EXCITING REGENERATION SCHEME IN EALING, LONDON

Green Man Lane

Green Man Lane in Ealing has undergone a major transformation bringing new vibrancy to the area

INSIGHT

  • This complex £326m multi-phase regeneration scheme gradually replaces the crumbling 1970s estate on the same site, aiming to keep the existing community together.

  • The demolition of 464 flats from the existing housing estate has made way for 770 new homes, with over 400 of these homes provided for affordable rent and shared ownership homes for A2Dominion

  • The project also includes a new primary school, community centre and café, in addition to private and shared amenity space and public open space.

  • The final 400+ new homes are progressing and creating a thriving community in the heart of Ealing.

IDEA

The original estate dates back to the early Seventies and has a strong and vibrant community. To support this community through this transition, the Elevate team actively worked in the interests of all stakeholders, especially the residents of the existing council housing development.

What will the project deliver?

The Green Man Lane project in Ealing will deliver a major transformation to the area, bringing new vibrancy through the delivery of over 700 new homes, improved public spaces, new community facilities, sustainable and energy-efficient design features. The project aims to support local residents' well-being, promote social cohesion, and reduce environmental impact.

The decentralised energy system provides low carbon space heating and domestic hot water to the entire development and uniquely will also provide additional connections serving two further developments situated along Broadway bringing the total properties served by the decentralised system to over 1000 residential units.

There has been a focus on sustainability within the project, with design features including PV panels on available roof space

The team continue to provide specialist consultancy to Rydon and A2Dominion in respect to the engineering of the remaining masterplan design.
