Eliminating fuel poverty is at the heart of the work Silver does. We strive to lead the fight against fuel poverty through sound design and technical excellence. We therefore welcome the recently launched government fuel poverty strategy ‘Sustainable Warmth’ is aimed at protecting vulnerable households.
Its aim is to improve the lives of any member of a low-income household who struggles to keep warm at a reasonable cost. This of course must be achieved in alignment with key sustainability targets including reaching Net Zero, improving air quality and reducing health inequalities. It’s a positive move forward to include clear sustainability principles to the fuel poverty strategy. We look forward to being part of the drive from intent to positive action for both the retrofit and new build sectors.
